SCO in North West Province by Stanley Marara

Amos Kgosiemang is the volunteer staff doing the work in North West Province. A number of schools were visited and about 100 SCO branches were opened last year. In some cases, learners had never heard or thought that a come-together of learners could happen in their schools. This was really encouraging to see so much work happening in a year. Limpopo has been doing a lot of work in North West by assisting the province with finances and also their physical presence in the province means a lot to Amos. Thabo Ngoepe, Joseph Phefadu and Mos Chauke serve as the adhoc committee to help in facilitating the work in the province.

One of most successful event took places last year.  

Provincial Prayer Rally: The event took place on 7 October 2006 at Christian Academy, Brits. Thabo Ngoepe who has been involved in the North West Province, Stanley Marara (Provincial Director of Limpopo) and Br Gilbert Sepuru (National Chairperson) attended the event.

It was a historical event, although there were few learners because of the timing thereof. It was examination time. Dr. van Staden, Rev. Phefadu and Dudu Mkhize were all involved in the event as speakers. The latter, as a consultant but focusing on Maths and Science, also motivated learners to go ahead with their studies and not to be demotivated.
