Marvin's Speech
Welcome to 2007
Greetings in the wonderful name of our LORD and saviour, Jesus Christ
It is once more a great pleasure to communicate with you this year 2007, the year of our LORD.
Hoping that you did not cross over from 2006 to 2007 on your own, but crossed with the LORD. And further that you did not cross to 2007 with the LORD, but also moved from one anointing to another, one revelation to another and one glory to another with the LORD and in the LORD.
Time to serve, we always have and that is what we should do “do the work of the FATHER before while it is still day, before evening sets in.”
“He who wants to be the greatest should be the servant of all.” In the KINGDOM of GOD we do things differently compared to that of the world, in fact we do the opposite. The world says seeing is believing BUT we say believing is seeing because “we do not move by sight, but by faith”. When you are a leader in the worldly system you are served BUT in the KINGDOM you are the servant.
Being a servant in the SCO is a great task which is full of opportunities to stretch and be open for the LORD to direct you just as HE directs the course of a stream.
As much as we have different GIFTS of the HOLY SPIRIT in us of which we function differently in the Organisation, yet moving forward for the common goal which is to live out the truth of the GOSPEL is quiet a challenge given the background of interpreting the very same scripture as Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers, and all members of the body of Christ do.
Thank GOD for the former leaders who passed the baton to us, so that we may take part in this race of taking the Organisation forward for having put away those differences and developed what is a core, common among all Christians across denominational boundaries. That is what puts us together, the VISION, AIMS and STATEMENT OF FAITH of the Organisation.
The authority that all Christian leaders have did not come from men, BUT from GOD through men.
It is time to serve GOD forgetting that which we achieved through Him in the previous year or since confessing the LORDSHIP of Christ. Yesterday should be forgotten with its trials and triumphs, and focus on today, because today is a gift that we have been presented with hence it is called PRESENT.
Putting our trust upon the LORD and HIS WORD is what we have to do (Isaiah 40:31). The world may bring all that it has to us and we just have to give it what is needs not what it wants the WORD.
Let II John 5:3 – 5 an I Timothy 4:11 – 16 be your encouragement before facing the world to do the work of the FATHER for the world is HIS and everything in it.
Till next time, may the WORD of the LORD be a lamb unto your feet and a light unto your path.
