Limpopo News by Stanley Marara

The Word of God says, “A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.” (Proverbs Chapter 16 verse 9, KJV). This teaches us that there are things that God expects us to do whilst there are those that He would do. We should therefore be prepared at all times to do our part for God to do His part. The part we should do in this case is to plan whereas His part would be to direct us as we implement our plans.

Strategic planning is critical for us as an organization if we would like to break away from tradition and routine towards rendering quality service to our constituency, stakeholders and clients. It is at this kind of planning where we produce fundamental decisions and actions through disciplined effort. Those decisions and actions would then shape and guide us on what we would do, how we would do it. We had a Provincial Strategic Plan Review meeting on the 28 January 2007 at Tivumbeni Education Multi-o-purpose Centre, Tzaneen. It was a successful meeting. Targets for 2007 were refined and adopted by members who attended representing all three sections of SCO.

God has been so gracious to Limpopo SCO. We have succeeded in implementing 85% of the priorities contained in the Strategic Plan that was developed at Mokopane some few years ago. This was so not because of one member who acted alone, but because of all of us who worked as a united team. Provincial committees were formally constituted and became operational, policies were developed and financial management of the organization is improving every day. Glory be unto God! Amen..
