What
an awesome weekend when Maluti-a-Phofung SCO Schools were Camping at
Makwane Youth Centre – Qwaqwa on the 9th to11th of
March 2007. It was a bit of a recap to our students who had volunteered to
serve learners all the way throughout the camp. Not to mention how
associates felt about being part of SCO gathering at the school level.
Praise be to God for Mponde Stuurman for preaching to us on the theme “as
you go make disciples”
from Mt.28:19. A number of learners were very new to our camp to such
an extent that they didn’t think that the focus will be on God’s word more
than any other thing. The camp had different sessions like personal quiet
time and the morning devotions, small group bible studies, career guidance,
beauty pageant, games, gender evening problem solving, and many more.
Beloved if you may ask (is SCO still relevant today in our area?) I will say through many learners “it is very relevant” by checking what God is doing in the life of many. Hence not ceasing to hear parents expressing their gratitude as a result of what SCO is doing in the life of their kids… Wow what a life investment. Our greatest need is of more supporters & fulltime workers. It is not enough to have one fulltime worker.
Praise & Prayers Items
Pray for Motheo Regional Camp coming on the 4th to 6th May 2007 0pt-hof Bloemfontein. Tea & Cakes Fellowship by ACF on the 14th April 2007 at Qwaqwa Hotel.
Praise be to God for Regions like Fezile - Dabi Sasolburg Area and Kronstad Area which were sometime out of touch. They are alive and vibrant just needed to be re-established. Pray for our partnership talks with Lejwe le Putswa Region – Welkom SCU to bring about something fruitful for the two organisations. Xhariep Region is still out of touch.
We trust God to open ways and doors to reach that region that seems like is consist more of rural areas
